Bemetra. Kindergarten training cum workshop, an important scheme of Chhattisgarh government, is being organized in District Education and Training Institute DIET Bemetara. A total of 105 teachers from all four development blocks of the district are participating in this workshop.
It is noteworthy that, while inaugurating the training session, the Principal of the institute, JK Ghritalhare said that, this is the time when children become more capable in self-reliant skills, that is, instead of being dependent on anyone, they start paying attention to their own needs. At this age, most of the children become adept in tasks like bathing, eating, washing hands and mouth, combing their hair. At this age, children not only get more independence but they also learn to help in household and outside work.
Discussion regarding education policy
The National Education Policy 2020 envisages that every child will move to a pre-primary class or kindergarten before the age of 6 years. Where the focus will be on developing cognitive emotional physical abilities early literacy and numeracy. Kindergarten is an activity-based program designed to create a child-friendly learning environment to meet the diverse learning needs of children as per their age. In this, such activities are to be conducted in which the children can understand the meaning of the subject matter by engaging in it and can absorb it completely. In this, children are divided into different groups according to their learning level and interest to provide opportunities to work in groups, to provide equal knowledge opportunities to boys and girls.
