CM Nitish Kumar Controversial Statement: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar apologized for his remarks on population control and said that if it had sent a wrong message then he withdrew his statement. Opposition leaders also protested inside the Bihar Assembly over the derogatory words used by CM Nitish Kumar to explain the role of education and the role of women in population control. Chairperson of National Women Commission tweeted
National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma had opened a front against the Chief Minister of Bihar. He strongly condemned Nitish’s remarks and asked him to apologize. He posted on X and wrote that the comments made by the Chief Minister of Bihar in the Assembly are insulting to the women society of the country. He should apologize immediately. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar apologized within 24 hours of yesterday’s incident.
BJP intensified the attack
The BJP criticized the CM for his remarks on the importance of women’s education to control population, calling him most misogynistic, obscene and patriarchal and demanded his resignation. Union Energy Minister RK Singh said that we are ashamed that he is the CM of our state. I think every person of Bihar should be ashamed that their CM is using such abusive language in the assembly. This is a third class statement. Nitish Kumar has gone crazy.
