Khagaria Murder: A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Khagaria district of Bihar. Here a teacher named Rajeev Kumar Jha burnt his wife alive. 90 percent of the girl’s body was badly burnt in the flames. The incident took place last Wednesday. After the death during treatment in the hospital, the police have now intensified the search for the accused. However, it is being told by the police that till now no written complaint has been given by the family members. The post-mortem of the dead body has been done. Further investigation is on.
According to media reports, this incident is of Kabela village under Parbatta police station area of Khagaria district. Rajeev used to have daily disputes with his wife Shilpa for the last several years. Neighbors say that Rajeev often used to beat his wife badly. There was a fight between the two on Wednesday as well. Neighbors say they saw Shilpa engulfed in flames. Rajeev had fled from the spot. The neighbors immediately informed the police and Shilpa’s family about the incident. After this Shilpa was taken to the hospital. Doctors had told that Shilpa has 90 per cent burns, due to which her condition had become critical. Shilpa has died during treatment.
Had married a girl student on the pretext
Neighbors say that Rajeev is a government teacher in Middle School Madhavpur-1 located in Dariapur Bhelwa Panchayat of Khagaria district. Whereas Shilpa’s maternal uncle is Nayagaon. Neighbors told the police that Shilpa used to go to Rajeev for tuition. At that time Shilpa was 19 years old and Rajeev was 35 years old. He traps Shilpa and convinces her to marry him. Although Shilpa’s family members were not ready for this marriage, Rajeev went to the temple and married Shilpa. A few days after the marriage, Rajeev started showing his colors and started beating Shilpa badly. It is being told that Shilpa’s family members were so angry that despite Shilpa’s murder, they are still hesitating to give a written complaint.
Shilpa left two children
This incident has created a stir among the people of the neighborhood. Shilpa has left two children. One child is three years old and the other child is only one year old. Neighbors say that the domestic dispute has taken away the shadow of the mother from the heads of both the children. Police say that the post-mortem of the dead body has been done. The search for Rajeev is on. The concerned investigating officer says that further action will be taken after investigation on the basis of Rajeev’s interrogation and neighbors’ statements.
