In Munger, Bihar, near Chandika place on Sri Krishna Setu, a truck loaded with morang hit the youth riding a bike. Two youths were killed and one was seriously injured in the accident. Both the deceased and the injured are residents of Mandar village under Morkahi police station area of Khagaria district. The dead youth include Ankush Kumar, 19-year-old son of Azad Thakur and Manish Kumar, 20-year-old son of Lale Paswan. The injured youth is 20-year-old Karan Kumar of Lale Mandal, who after first aid at the local hospital was sent by relatives to Bhagalpur for better treatment. After the accident, the driver and his companion fled leaving the truck. Munger Police has seized the truck.
Injured youth undergoing treatment in Bhagalpur
According to media reports, three youths named Manish, Ankush and Karan were going to Munger to meet their friend by riding a bike from Mandar village in Khagaria district. Then a truck carrying Morang, going from Munger towards Khagaria, hit the bike. Ankush, who was driving the bike, died on the spot in the accident, while Manish and Karan were seriously injured. Both the injured youths were admitted to Munger Sadar Hospital by the local people. After first aid, the doctors referred him outside for better treatment. Manish also died on the way while being taken to Bhagalpur. The injured youth Karan is undergoing treatment in Bhagalpur. Police did postmortem of both the bodies and handed them over to their relatives.

Police is investigating the whole matter
Munger’s Mufassil Police Station President Daljit Jha said that two youths have been killed and one youth has been seriously injured after being hit by a truck on the approach path of Shri Krishna Setu, who is undergoing treatment in Bhagalpur. The truck involved in the accident has been seized. The entire matter is being investigated.
