Skill Development Scam case: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been granted interim bail of four weeks in the skill development scam case. According to media reports, the High Court has granted bail on medical grounds. The lawyers representing the former Chief Minister told the court that Chandrababu has been in jail for fifty days without any concrete allegations in the remand report of the Kaushal Vikas case.

The former CM’s lawyers told the court that Chandrababu was suffering from several health problems and also required immediate cataract operation. At the same time, the lawyers representing the state government argued that these are age related issues and there does not seem to be any need for cataract operation at this time. He said that Chandrababu is using medical grounds to get bail and this should not be considered.
Judge ruled in favor of Chandrababu Naidu
The judge also paid a lot of attention to the medical report and gave the verdict in favor of Chandrababu. Chandrababu’s lawyers also filed a regular bail plea. At the same time, the government lawyers have asked for more time to present their arguments. This will also be heard. Chandrababu will be out of jail after spending fifty-two days inside in a minor case.
Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, lodged in Rajamahendravaram Central Jail for his alleged involvement in the skills development scam, had earlier written a letter to the special judge of the Vijayawada ACB court, demanding tight security in and around the jail premises. In a letter sent to the judge through jail authorities on October 25, the Telugu Desam Party chief had mentioned some untoward incidents that had taken place in and around the central jail in recent times. After this he demanded Z Plus security in jail.
