In fact, in 2005, during the UPA government led by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, a sting operation came to light, in which MPs in Parliament showed willingness to ask questions to promote a company in exchange for money. After this, all these MPs also asked questions in the Parliament.
At the same time, in the case of TMC leader Mahua Moitra, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla cited the decision of former Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee 18 years ago, in which the membership of 11 MPs was canceled in the Note for Query case.
