The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert for the next 24 hours in many districts of Maharashtra including Mumbai. It is being told that heavy rains will continue for the next 24 hours. Monsoon has knocked strongly in many areas of Maharashtra including Mumbai. However, people are also welcoming the monsoon as rains have brought respite from the heat.

It is raining heavily in these districts

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is being predicted in Mumbai in the next 24 hours. During this, it is raining heavily in Kurla, Ghatkopar, Sion, Santacruz, Borivali, Andheri, Bandra everywhere in Mumbai. Apart from this, the department told that monsoon rains will continue for the next 5 days in many areas of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Nashik. During this, apart from Mumbai, heavy rains are also being seen in its surrounding districts like Thane, Dombivli, Kalyan, Navi Mumbai, Igatpuri, Palghar, Raigarh and Konkan region.

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon will be completely covered in Mumbai for the next two days. Today i.e. on Saturday, the monsoon has reached Alibaug. In the next five days, Monsoon will become active over entire Maharashtra. In such a situation, the department has issued Orange Alert in many districts including Mumbai. The department said that for the next few days, there may be heavy to very heavy rains in Konkan and Vidarbha.

Yellow alert in capital Delhi

Monsoon is ready to knock on the threshold of the national capital Delhi as well. The Meteorological Department said that Delhi may get drenched with the first rains of the monsoon in the next two days. The Regional Meteorological Department has also issued orange alert in some areas of Delhi and yellow alert in some. It is being told that it will rain in Delhi on Sunday and Monday. IMD says that there may be strong winds and rain in Delhi on Sunday, but while issuing Orange Alert, IMD has said that there is a possibility of good rain in Delhi on Monday.
