The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Indian Navy have seized around 2500 kg of methamphetamine off the coast of Kerala. Its value is said to be around 15,000 crores. At the same time, along with this seizure, a suspected Pakistani citizen has been arrested. The drugs seized in such large quantities are a part of Operation Samudragupt. Till now, drugs worth about 40 thousand crores have been recovered through this operation.

There could be a conspiracy of Pakistan

The strings of such a huge quantity of drugs are directly connecting with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. Haji Salim sitting in Karachi, Pakistan is the main conspirator and he is the biggest drug mafia. This person’s hand was also found behind most of the drugs being seized in India. Haji Salim is believed to be the main link between Dawood Ibrahim and Pakistan’s intelligence agency.

This is the third biggest seizure made by the NCB in the last one and a half years in connection with maritime smuggling through the southern route. Around 3,200 kg of methamphetamine, 500 kg of heroin and 529 kg of hashish have been seized so far under Operation Samudragupt. The NCB has seized the narcotic substance from the mother ship in a joint operation with the Navy. The consignment was transported from Afghanistan to India, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
