Karnataka working president R Dhruvanarayana passed away.
Karnataka Congress working president and former MP R Dhruvanarayana passed away at the age of 61 on Saturday morning. The fatal cardiac arrest occurred in his car in Mysuru at around 6:40 am. After this he was taken to DRMS Hospital. Dr. Manjunath of DRMS Hospital told that Dhruvnarayan breathed his last in the hospital. He has been a two-time MP from Chamarajanagar and was among the senior Congress leaders.
R Dhruvanarayana was an influential leader
Dhruv Narayan was an influential Dalit leader of old Mysore. Apart from this, he was also considered very close to former CM Siddaramaiah. He was considered a leader of great stature in Chamarajanagar. He represented the Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha constituency twice. In the 2004 state assembly elections, he won from the Santamarahalli assembly constituency by one vote. R Dhruvnarayan In the upcoming state assembly election, he was planning to contest from the Nanjangud reserved constituency. His political enemies know him to be of a humble nature. R Dhruv Narayan had also served as a two-time MP and MLA.

Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala tweeted condoling the demise of R Dhruvnarayan and said that no words can describe the irreparable loss of our ever-smiling friend, our leader and easily the most dedicated soldier of Congress, Shri Is. Dedicated to the cause of the poor, an ardent champion of the downtrodden, we will miss you forever my friend.
