When was the Agneepath scheme started?
The center started the Agneepath scheme in the month of June 2022. Meanwhile, violent demonstrations took place at many places after the launch of the Agneepath scheme. Many trains were burnt in Bihar and UP. This scheme was started with the aim of involving the youth under this Agneepath scheme. Navy, Airforce and Army are recruited through Agniveer posts under the scheme. Through the Agneepath scheme, the candidates will be recruited at the rank below the officers.
for how many years recruitment will be done
Through Agneepath Yojana, Agniveers will be recruited only for four years. At the same time, after four years, 75 percent of Agniveers will be put out of service. Along with this, permanent recruitment of 25 percent Agniveers will be done.
Who can apply
Under this scheme, the age limit of the youth has been fixed from 17.5 years to 21 years. However, for more information related to age, candidates can visit the army portal. Please tell that for this recruitment, the youth should have passed 12th with 50 percent marks. Agniveers will be given training for 6 months after recruitment. After this the youth will have to serve for 3.5 years.
