Indian Navy: Indian Navy successfully tested indigenous BrahMos missile, know what is the specialty

The Indian Navy has successfully test-fired the indigenous BrahMos missile on Sunday. BrahMos missile has been designed by DRDO. Navy officials themselves have given information in this regard. He said that the missile successfully carried out an accurate strike in the Arabian Sea. The BrahMos missile was test-fired from a Kolkata-class guided missile destroyer.

Giving further information, Navy officials said that BrahMos Aerospace is continuously working on increasing the indigenous material in the missile. He said that the successful test of the missile strengthens the country’s commitment towards self-reliance.

Let us tell you that even before this, on December 29 last year, the Indian Air Force had successfully tested the new air version of BrahMos with Sukhoi-30 MKI. The missile destroyed the target ship during the test. The range of this new air version of BrahMos missile was 400 km.

With this successful test of the BrahMos missile, the Indian Air Force acquired the firepower to target long-range targets on land or sea with the Sukhoi fighter jet. DRDO, Navy, BAPL and HAL were involved in this test along with the Indian Air Force.

It is clear from this successful test that an enemy warship located 400 kilometers away in the sea can be destroyed through fighter jet Sukhoi. Let us tell you that a few months ago, the same fighter jet fired live with the BrahMos missile on the decommissioned ship of the Indian Navy. The missile had made a big hole in the ship.

Significantly, the Government of India is increasing the range of all its tactical missiles. BrahMos cruise missiles are deployed on 40 Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets of the Indian Air Force. Last year, on 8 December 2021, the air version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile was successfully tested in the Sukhoi-30 MK-1 fighter aircraft of the Air Force.
