G20 Summit in Delhi: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak reached India’s capital Delhi on the evening of 8 September to attend the G-20 summit. His wife Akshata Murty has also come with him. Minister of State in the Ministry of Food and Public Distribution Ashwini Choubey received Rishi Sunak and his wife at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. During this, he kept his point about Hinduism. Rishi Sunak said, “I am a proud Hindu and I have also been brought up in the Hindu way.”

Pankaj Mishra, media advisor to Union Minister Ashwini Choubey, said that during the welcome, the Union Minister greeted the British Prime Minister with ‘Jai Siyaram’. Ashwini Choubey told in a conversation with Rishi Sunak that he is currently an MP from Buxar, Bihar. Buxar is a famous spiritual city since ancient times, where Lord Shri Ram and Lakshman took the knowledge of weapons from Maharishi Vishwamitra. After this Tadka and Subahu were killed here. British Prime Minister Sunak listened to the spiritual and cultural story of India with great enthusiasm.

The Union Minister welcomed British PM Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murthy as India’s son-in-law and daughter. The Union Minister said, “The land of India is the land of your ancestors. Everyone is very excited about your coming here.” The Union Minister also apprised PM Sunak and his wife about the spiritual culture of Ayodhya, Buxar, Sitamarhi and Mandar Parvat of Banka. Ashwini Chaubey presented Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta, Hanuman Chalisa and Rudraksha rosary to Rishi Sunak.

PM Modi will hold bilateral meeting with British PM tomorrow

Traditional Indian dance was performed to welcome Rishi Sunak and his wife. This is Rishi Sunak’s first visit to India after becoming Prime Minister in October 2022. It is being told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with Rishi Sunak on September 9 on the sidelines of the G20 summit.
