Jind: Deputy Prime Minister Dushyant Chautala is in action mode to ensure a lasting solution to water shortages in urban areas. After issuing the instructions to the officials, the people in the urban areas will not face any problem with the drinking water supply in the city for the next 15 to 20 years. A proposal to this effect was drawn up by the health department and sent to headquarters about two months ago. It is expected to be approved soon. A provision has been made in this around Rs.17 crore rupee proposal to resolve all issues related to drinking water.
He said that water is transported through the lifting system from Barsola Minor on Uchana Khurd Road to Uchana Kalan old water house on Khedi Mansania Road. In the past, the open pipeline was often leaky. This time, the proposal provided a cost estimate for laying an underground pipeline from the miner to the water house. The city population’s repeated demands for the construction of pressure boosting systems in the city are also being met. A booster station will be built near the Uchana Kalan underpass. Half of the city’s population is supplied with water from here. The water house on Khedi Mansaniya Road has a capacity of one MLD so far, which will be increased to two and a half MLD.
The complaint about polluted water in the drinking water supply is also resolved. Wherever there is a problem with the waste water supply, DI pipes are laid. There is no leakage in the DI tube, which also eliminates the problem of dirty water. Like the water treatment facility at the health department on Bhongra Road, the water treatment facility will also be installed at the old Uchana Kalan water house. With that, the complaint about dirty water in Uchana Kalan will disappear. Once the submitted proposal is approved, further development of this process will begin in the coming days. This year’s request from the people here will be met after the proposal is approved.
