G20 Summit 2023: G-20 summit starts from today, know the schedule of meeting of global leaders in Bharat Mandapam

G-20 Summit 2023: The G20 leaders’ summit is starting today i.e. on 9th September in New Delhi, India. The summit which brings together leaders of 20 major economies of the world, is being held at the India Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre. This summit will be the culmination of various ministerial meetings held throughout the year. Its agenda includes discussions on climate change, debt, food security, stability and geopolitical conflicts. However, all eyes will be on the joint statement that will be given by the global leaders after the summit.

Full schedule of G20 Summit 2023

First day (9 September)

Arrival of leaders and heads of delegations at the Bharat Mandapam, the summit venue, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, followed by a welcome photo with the Prime Minister in the Tree of Life Foyer. Thereafter, the leaders and heads of delegations will assemble in the Leaders’ Lounge, Level 2 in the Bharat Mandapam. This will be followed by the first session, called ‘One Earth’, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Summit Hall of Bharat Mandapam, followed by lunch. Various bilateral meetings will take place from 13:30 pm to 3:30 pm. A second session, ‘One Family’, from 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm, will take place at the summit venue, after which the leaders will return to their hotels.

This is followed by arrival of the leaders and heads of delegation for dinner from 7 pm to 8 pm, beginning with a welcome photo on arrival. At the same time, during dinner from 8 pm to 9 pm, the leaders will participate in the conversation over their food. From 9 pm to 9:45 pm, leaders and heads of delegations will gather in the Leaders Lounge in the Bharat Mandapam to conclude the day.

Second day (10 September)

The program of the second day of the G-20 summit will be like this that from 8:15 am to 9 am, leaders and heads of delegations will be welcomed at Rajghat and everyone will be signed on the peace wall inside the Leaders Lounge at Rajghat. After this, from 9 am to 9:20 am, the world leader will pay floral tributes at the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi, followed by live performance of Mahatma Gandhi’s favorite devotional songs. Thereafter, the leader and the head of the delegation will proceed to the Leaders’ Lounge in the Bharat Mandapam. Leaders and heads of delegation will arrive at Bharat Mandapam from 9:40 am to 10:15 am. A tree planting ceremony will be held in the South Plaza of Bharat Mandapam from 10:15 am to 10:30 am. From 10:30 am to 12:30 pm the third session of the summit, called ‘One Future’, will be held.
