DGCA Director Suspended: The Civil Aviation Ministry has today suspended Captain Anil Gill, Director of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Taking major action against the DGCA Director, the Union Civil Aviation Ministry has also issued an order on Wednesday. Ministry suspended Anil Gill in corruption case.

Issuing an order in this regard, the Ministry said that our government has a policy of zero tolerance in any case against corruption. Actually, investigation is going on on corruption charges against Captain Anil Gill. Due to this, the Government of India has taken this decision.

The ministry said in its statement that in any such case, strict action will be taken under the law. The ministry said that we cannot make any kind of compromise on such matters. Let us tell you that the government took this action at a time when DGCA had demanded transfer of bribe-taking case to CBI and ED.

Let us tell you that the Ministry and DGCA had received an anonymous email, in which many serious allegations were made against Gill. The emails allege that Gil forced a company called Skynex Aeroflight Solutions to send him to the Czech Republic for training on Piper PA-28 aircraft, which was not required for his role.

At the same time, complaints against Gill came to light when five aircraft of Redbird Aviation, the largest flight school, crashed due to engine failure in the last six months. Its investigation found that the planes were not properly maintained and the trainers were not following critical safety regulations of the DGCA.
