Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has been given Z Plus security by the Central Government. CRPF personnel will be deployed in the security arrangements of CM Mann. This decision has been taken on the basis of the report of the Central Intelligence Agency (IB). According to media reports, apart from the Punjab Police security, now CRPF personnel will also assist in providing security to the Chief Minister’s house and family.
CM Mann threatened by Khalistani activities
Such security cover was recommended for CM Bhagwant Mann by the central intelligence and security agencies. During this, he had said that Mann is in danger of life from Khalistani supporters. For this, their security should be increased. Accepting his recommendations, the Central Government has approved it and provided him with Z+ security.
In March this year, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s daughter also allegedly received threat calls from Khalistan supporters. According to media reports, Khalistani supporters made threatening calls to Mann’s daughter Seerat Kaur Mann, who lives in America, and said extremely derogatory words.

The state police had to fight hard to nab Amritpal Singh, after which he was arrested from a Gurdwara in Moga, Punjab. Also, NSA has been imposed on him and kept in Dibrugarh Jail in Assam.
