MSP was also discussed in detail in this meeting and the central government has increased the MSP on many crops. The central government has increased the MSP of tur dal by Rs 400 per quintal, urad dal by Rs 350 per quintal, maize MSP by Rs 128 per quintal, along with this the MSP of paddy has also been increased by Rs 143 per quintal. Along with this, the Center has also increased the MSP on cotton and groundnut.

Explain that apart from pulses, corn and paddy, the central government has accepted the demand to increase MSP on cotton and groundnut as well. MSP has been increased by 8.9 percent on cotton and 9 percent on groundnut. After increasing the MSP, the MSP of tur dal has increased to Rs 7,000 and that of urad dal has increased to Rs 6,950 per quintal. At the same time, with an increase of 10.4 per cent, the MSP on moong dal has been increased from Rs 7755 to Rs 8558 per quintal. Giving information about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting regarding MSP, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that there has been a significant increase in MSP this year. MSP was not increased so much in the last several years. He said that the government had decided to keep MSP 50 percent more than the cost.
