US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, in response to a Pakistani journalist’s question, said that America has encouraged India and Pakistan to avoid tension and find a solution through dialogue. The Pakistani journalist had asked Miller whether the Biden administration was worried about the remarks of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh that India would not hesitate to kill terrorists in their own homes?
Miller said that as I have said before, the United States will not stand in the way. But we encourage both India and Pakistan to avoid tension and find solutions through dialogue.

Pakistani journalist raised Pannu’s case
Pakistani journalist raised the issue of conspiracy to murder alleged Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. Asked that the conspiracy to murder Pannu was hatched on American soil, yet why no sanctions were imposed on India? In response, Miller said, “I’m never going to preview any sanctions action.” Which does not mean that any restrictions are going to be imposed. But when you ask me to talk about sanctions, it is something we do not discuss openly.
Khalistani terrorist Pannu
Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is a Khalistani terrorist. He has repeatedly issued threats against India. According to the US Justice Department’s indictment, Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta has been accused of Pannu’s murder. Nikhil is currently in custody.
The US Justice Department had earlier claimed that an Indian government employee wanted to hire a shooter to assassinate Pannu. That employee had given the responsibility of finding the hitman to Nikhil. But the hitman turned out to be an informer of the American agency. Due to this, the conspiracy to murder Pannu failed and Nikhil was caught. India has formed a committee to investigate America’s allegations.

What did PM Modi say?
On April 11, PM Modi had said that in the last 10 years of the BJP government at the Centre, terrorists are being killed in their own homes. Addressing a public rally in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, PM Modi highlighted key decisions taken by his government and emphasized that it was under the NDA regime that Article 370 was abrogated from Jammu and Kashmir.
PM Modi said that today there is a strong government in the country. Under this, in the strong Modi government, terrorists are killed by entering their homes. The Indian tricolor has become a guarantee of security even in the war zone. After seven decades, Article 370 was removed from Jammu and Kashmir and a law was made against triple talaq. It was our strong government that ensured 33 percent reservation in Parliament and the poor from the general category also got 10 percent reservation.
Rajnath Singh had said- consequences will have to be faced
In an interview with ANI, Rajnath Singh said that if Pakistan’s intentions are clear then it should take decisive action against cross-border terrorism.
Rajnath Singh said that if Pakistan tries to destabilize India through terrorism, it will have to face consequences. Pakistan needs to control terrorism. If Pakistan thinks that it is not able to control it, if they think that they are not able, then India is a neighbour. If they want to take India’s help, they should take it. India is ready to provide all kinds of help to deal with terrorism.
He said that they are our neighbors and if their intention is clear that terrorism should end then they should do it themselves or take help from India. We both can end terrorism. Rajnath Singh said that India will do everything to deal with terrorism.
