Operation Cauvery has been successful in evacuating Indians trapped in the midst of civil war in Sudan. India has safely brought back a total of 3862 Indians from Sudan. In such a situation, Operation Kaveri was launched to evacuate the Indian safely from Sudan. Now this operation of India has been successful. Under this operation, all the Indians trapped in Sudan have been safely evacuated.

On May 5, the last flight returned home with 47 passengers.

According to media reports, Operation Kaveri was being run since April 24 last month. After this, yesterday i.e. on May 5, the last flight carrying 47 passengers returned home. Explain that under this operation, 3,862 people have been evacuated from Sudan. Giving information about this, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that with the arrival of the C-130 aircraft of the Indian Air Force on Friday, Operation Kaveri has come to an end.

S Jaishankar expressed gratitude to these countries

Jaishankar said that the Indian Air Force operated 17 sorties. Along with this, the Indian Navy has made five trips to take Indians from Sudan Port to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. A total of 86 Indians have been brought back through countries bordering Sudan. Along with this, Jaishankar has expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for hosting the Indians brought from Sudan and helping in the evacuation process. Apart from this, Jaishankar has also thanked Chad, France, South Sudan, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Britain, America and the United Nations.
