One activist was killed when police in Lahore clashed with policemen on Thursday at the party’s rally on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan and 400 others. A case has been registered against Imran Khan on the charges of murder and terrorism in this case. In this rally of the party, one worker was killed and many people were injured.

FIR was also lodged against these leaders

The leaders on whom the FIR has been registered include Fawad Chaudhary, Farooq Habib, Hammad Azhar and Mahmudur Rashid and other PTI leaders. Along with this, the police have also arrested more than 100 PTI workers in this case. The FIR states that 11 police officers were injured in the clash with stone-pelting PTI workers.

Formation of two member committee

Following this incident, a two-member committee was constituted by the Punjab IGP to probe the police clash with PTI workers outside Zaman Park. Simultaneously, the Punjab IG ordered a search operation to ascertain the circumstances and conditions that led to the gathering of political workers. Police lobbed tear gas shells and used water cannons to disperse PTI workers on Wednesday.

Imran postponed the rally

Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan shut down a pro-judiciary rally from his residence, following bloody clashes between police and PTI workers. During this, Imran Khan said that the government wants an excuse to postpone the elections and for this it needs dead bodies. Imran further said that the police have picked up 100 of our workers. The government wants to suppress our voice, but we will not let it succeed in its nefarious designs.
