India-Canada Relationship:There is tension between India and Canada due to Khalistani terrorism. India demands that strict action should be taken against Khalistani terrorists in Canada, whereas instead of taking action, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has accused India of being responsible for the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Nijjar. Canada had expelled a diplomat from India. Retaliating, India also expelled a Canadian diplomat and ordered him to leave the country within five days. Trudeau, however, has tried to handle the situation by giving a statement that he does not want to get into any kind of conflict with India, he just wants the matter to be taken seriously. On the other hand, due to Trudeau’s earlier irresponsible statements, it is certain that diplomatic relations between the two countries will be affected. Not only this, there is talk of impact on military relations between the two countries. But, Major General Abhinay Rai of the Indian Army has clarified the position on this.
According to media reports, while giving information on the current diplomatic relations between India and Canada, Indian Army’s Major General Abhinay Rai, Additional Director General Strategic Planning, said, “This will not affect us in any way. The Army Chief of Canada is coming here. Their delegation is also coming. Our diplomatic and military efforts with Canada will continue. Canada is an important partner in IPAMS.”

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has given another statement. According to the news agency, he said, “The Indian government needs to take this matter very seriously. A few days after this incident, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in his country’s Parliament, accused Indian government agencies of involvement in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. After this, Canada suspended its top Indian diplomat. After this, in response to this, India expelled Canada’s High Commissioner Cameron McKay in New Delhi and asked him to leave the country within 5 days. Since then this matter has gained momentum.
