Bank Holidays April First Week: If you are planning to visit the bank today and in the coming days, then do check the bank holiday list. In fact, due to Mahavir Jayanti, public and private sector banks will remain closed in many states on Tuesday. According to the official calendar of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed on April 4 in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur and Ranchi. Banks in various states this week celebrate Mahavir Jayanti, Babu Jagjivan Ram’s Birthday, Good Friday, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, Sankranti/Biju Festival/Bisu Festival, Tamil New Year Day, Vishu/Bohag Bihu/Himachal Day/Bengali New Year Day Nabbarsha, Will remain closed on various occasions like Shab-l-Qadr, Eid-ul-Fitr Ramzan Eid/Garia Puja/Jumat-ul-Vida and Ramzan Eid. However, online banking services will remain available during this period.

April 4 Tuesday – Banks are closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur and Ranchi on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.
5 April Wednesday – Bank closed in Hyderabad-Telangana on Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birthday.
7th April Friday – Good Friday Occasions Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad-Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad-Telangana, Imphal, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Banks are closed in Delhi, Panaji. Banks will remain closed in Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong and Thiruvananthapuram.
April 8 – Banks of all states will remain closed due to second Saturday.
April 9 Sunday – Banks of all states will remain closed.
