Recently, the corona positive cases of 19 girl students together in the Girls Hostel of Dhamtari have shocked everyone. It is a matter of concern that about 30 girl students of this hostel have returned home before the investigation.

All the infected girl students live in the government pre matriculation scheduled tribe girls hostel city. When they complained of cold and cough, the girl students were brought to the city hospital for examination, where corona infection was confirmed in them after examination.

According to the information, 40 girl students are present in the said hostel. On Monday, the hostel superintendent got information about 4 girl students having cold and cough, then he contacted BMO Nagri DR Thakur, where BMO brought the girl students to the hospital and got them medically examined. When the antigen kit was tested, the reports of 11 girl students who reached the hospital were found to be corona positive one by one. All the infected girl students were brought back to the hostel by ambulance and quarantined in 3 rooms. After this, other 29 girl students were also examined, out of which 8 girl students were found corona positive. That is, a total of 19 girl students have been found corona positive.

30 girl students returned to their homes

It has been told that the age of the infected is about 14 to 15 years. Healthy girl students have been shifted to another room and quarantined. All the infected girl students are under the supervision of the health team. Now the concern is that 30 students of the hostel have returned to their homes, who have been in contact with the infected. The number of students registered in the hostel is 70, out of which at present 40 girl students are still in the hostel and 30 girl students have gone back to their homes.

242 people were screened in one day

After 8 months of relief from corona infection in the district, the number of patients is increasing again in the first week of April. It has been reported that a record 21 infected have been identified in a 6-hour investigation on Monday. In the district, 242 people were investigated throughout the day. Here the infection rate has gone up to 8.67%, that is, in the investigation of 100 people, the report of 9 people has come positive. The infected patient in the district since August was zero.
