Kumar Neeraj’s film ‘Nafisa’ is based on Bihar’s Muzaffarpur shelter home incident, poster released

The shelter home incident in Muzaffarpur, Bihar had shocked everyone. The pain and suffering of its victims will soon be seen on the big screen. Writer director Kumar Neeraj has made a realistic film based on this case named Nafisa. The poster launch of Spark Media Presents Nafisa took place at Impresa Hotel, Mumbai in the presence of Writer Director Kumar Neeraj, Producer Vaishali Dev, Associate Director Simran Kaushik and DOP Najeeb Khan. Nafisa reminisces about the painful incident in Muzaffarpur.

Kumar Neeraj said that when I read the news of this incident in the newspaper, I was very impressed and felt that a film should be made on this subject. It took me many years to write the script, I did a lot of research. I have met the victims. Deeply felt their pain and suffering. I put all those problems on paper and then I am going to present them on screen.

Further added that we have not taken any creative liberties in making this film. But have tried to present what actually happened. Although the names of the characters have been changed. But the film is inspired by true events. The artist has not done makeup. We have not shown beauty anywhere. Rather the bitter truth has been shown. However, there were many problems in getting it censored. Many scenes, bloodshed and scissors were used. But I have presented the truth with complete honesty.

The writer director of the film told that making a film on such a subject was very challenging and full of dangers, but I did not give up. The film’s producer Vaishali Dev said the film was not made to promote or glorify crime. But Nafisa has a message. This is eye opening cinema. So far the poster has been launched. Its teaser will be released soon.

The film’s cameraman Najeeb Khan has claimed that this film will shake the society. This Hindi film based on Muzaffarpur shelter home sexual abuse is being produced by Vaishali Dev. While the associate producers are Beena Shah, Munni Singh and Khushboo Singh. Its cameraman is Gadar fame Najeeb Khan of Sunny Deol. A song is also going to be seen in this film being made under the direction of Bollywood’s famous choreographer Ganesh Acharya.

Director Kumar Neeraj says that whatever is printed in newspapers or on the internet regarding the Muzaffarpur incident. By not showing her, the film has done the work of bringing such truth of the girl child to the fore. About which people do not even know. At the same time, how girls were harassed and exploited. What kind of harassment the girls living there had to face, all this truth will be seen.
