His body is at Fortis Hospital in Gurugram and will be brought to Mumbai after the postmortem.

Satish Kaushik was born on 13 April 1956 in Haryana. Satish Chandra Kaushik was an actor, director, producer, comedian and screenwriter. He graduated from Kirori Mal College and is an alumnus of the National School of Drama and the Film and Television Institute of India. He acted in films like Ram Lakhan, Saajan Chale Sasural, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. Also became most popular after playing the character of Calendar in Shekhar Kapur’s Mr. India.

Along with this, he has directed many films like Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Tere Naam, Kyun Ki, and recently Kaagaz with Pankaj Tripathi. His upcoming film is Kangana Ki Emergency, in which he plays the role of Jagjivan Ram.
