Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav in Ghaziabad: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav held a joint press conference in Ghaziabad on Wednesday. Both the leaders launched the election song, informing about the issues and priorities of the India Alliance in the Lok Sabha elections. Also cornered BJP and Modi government on the issue of electoral bonds, breach of promise and privatization.
BJP can get up to 150 seats: Rahul Rahul Gandhi described the Electoral Bond Scheme as the country’s biggest extortion scheme and called Prime Minister Modi the champion of corruption. Said, reports are being received from every state. BJP can get up to 150 seats. In the press conference, when Rahul was asked about contesting elections from Amethi and Rae Bareli in UP, he termed it as a BJP question and said, if the Congress party asks, I will definitely contest from Amethi Lok Sabha seat.
Rahul Gandhi said, this Lok Sabha election is about ideology. On one side there is RSS and BJP, which are trying to destroy the Constitution and on the other side, India Alliance is trying to save democracy and the Constitution.
Rahul said, unemployment, inflation and participation are the three main issues in the elections. Sometimes the Prime Minister goes under the sea and sometimes on a plane in the sky. But don’t talk about the issues. Gave a long interview to a news agency, but that too was scripted. It was a flop show.
Rahul said, tried to explain the electoral bond through the Prime Minister’s interview. He says that it was brought for transparency system. If this is true then why did the Supreme Court cancel it? If you wanted to bring transparency then why was the name of the person giving thousands of crores hidden?
On the issue of employment, Rahul Gandhi said that 30 lakh government posts are vacant in the country, Narendra Modi is not filling them. If our government is formed, we will appoint youth to these posts. Will make a law against paper leaks. 8500 rupees i.e. one lakh rupees will be deposited in the bank account of every woman in every family in a year.
Rahul said, farmers ask for only two things: right price for their crops and loan waiver. We have decided to give them legal MSP. Will also give loan waiver.
Rahul said, Narendra Modi’s focus is on 22-25 people. 22 capitalists have more money than 70 crore people. Narendra Modi has handed over all the wealth of the country to these people.
Rahul said, I do caste census and participation. So that Dalits, tribals, backward and poor general caste people get equal participation in every sector of India.
Rahul Gandhi said, electoral bonds show that the company which has donated to BJP has also got contracts worth thousands of crores. Some companies even bought electoral bonds worth crores of rupees after the action by CBI and ED started and after that the action stopped. On the road it is called extortion. The Electoral Bond Scheme is the biggest extortion scheme in the country.
Everything BJP says is proving to be a lie: Akhilesh
Akhilesh Yadav described Bharatiya Janata Party as a warehouse of corrupt people. They not only take the corrupt, but also take the money earned through corruption. Akhilesh Yadav said, everything said by BJP is proving to be a lie. Rahul and Akhilesh have shared the stage for the first time during the Lok Sabha elections.
Akhilesh Yadav claimed that PDA is going to defeat NDA in this election. Answering the question of familyism, he said that today on the day of Navratri, BJP people should take a pledge that neither will they give ticket to any family member nor will they take votes from any family member.
On the question of holding a press conference in Ghaziabad, Akhilesh said, both of us have resolved to wipe out BJP from Ghaziabad to Ghazipur. The people of UP give a good welcome and also a wonderful farewell. Those who came in 14, will go in 24.
Akhilesh said, the farmer is sad. BJP had made many promises, but everything it said turned out to be false. Neither did the income of farmers double nor did the youth get two crore jobs every year. The dreams of development that were shown are also incomplete. Electoral bonds have kept the band playing. The environment of Western UP is going to change.
Akhilesh said, “They used to talk about double engine in the hoardings, but it was seen as a single engine. Even candidates are missing from BJP hoardings. Those who are visible now will also disappear after the elections. Loot and lies have become the identity of BJP.
Akhilesh said, the people of UP now want change. The wind of change is blowing from western UP. He said that the BJP government has kept the future of 60 lakh youth of Uttar Pradesh in darkness. Due to this, their votes were reduced by 2 lakh 25 thousand in every Lok Sabha seat. Told the youth that they have to be careful while voting. Only then will we be able to defeat BJP.

Question: Why did you leave Amethi and go to Wayanad? Answer: I will do whatever order I get. These decisions are taken in our party meetings.
Question- Previous alliances were not successful, what are the future expectations? Answer: I do not make seat predictions, but generally till 20 days ago it seemed that BJP would get up to 180 seats, but now it seems that BJP will get up to 150 seats. Reports are coming from every state.
Question- What is the strategy to stop NDA in UP? Answer: Our effort is to provide employment to the youth, we have given two-three ideas in the manifesto. Children from rich families get good employment by doing paid training, but we have decided to provide apprenticeship to all the graduates. One lakh rupees will be deposited in his account during training. In 10 years, Narendra Modi government has destroyed the employment system by supporting big billionaires through demonetization, GST and other policies. We will strengthen the youth.
After the press conference, Akhilesh Yadav will hold a rally in Nagina. Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh will also share the stage. Whereas, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will hold a road-show in Saharanpur. This is Priyanka’s first rally in UP. Voting is on 19 April for 8 seats of UP including Saharanpur and Moradabad. The election campaign on these seats will end at 5 pm on Wednesday.
