Holi 2024: In view of the festival of Holi, leaves of all police personnel of UP have been cancelled. UP DGP Prashant Kumar has issued the order. This order has been sent to all the police commissioners and district captains. Police personnel will not be able to take any leave from March 22 to March 27. It has been made clear in the order that the police personnel who are on leave these days should be called back with immediate effect. DGP has said that leave will be granted during this period only for urgent work or emergency.
Apart from this, in view of the festival of Holi, several guidelines have been issued to the police department by Director General of Police Prashant Kumar. DGP said that in view of Holi festival, a meeting should be held with the religious leaders of the district, action procession peace committees. No new tradition should be allowed. And the lists available in the register should be reviewed. And in the past years, on the occasion of Holi, a list of disputes that occurred during Holika Dahan and Rangotsav etc. should be made and resolved in time. Maximum police force should be deployed on Holi Nujum. For this, action of blog march and area domination should be taken in advance by senior officials.
