Samajwadi Party MLAs protested outside the state assembly on Wednesday, the second day of the winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. The MLAs raised slogans against the Yogi government. At the same time, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav surrounded the state government inside the assembly. He bombarded not only the Yogi government but also the Modi government at the Centre.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, while addressing the assembly, said that farmers are going through a very difficult phase. I want to ask whether the government had purchased the wheat or it was purchased by private companies. He said that GST on farming equipment is 12 to 18 percent. He asked whether the double engine government will reduce GST to help the farmers or will provide facilities to the farmers from its treasury.

BJP’s counter attack on SP

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has hit back at Akhilesh Yadav’s questions. He said that during the rule of Samajwadi Party, development works were done only on paper. If there is work for any section, SP cannot digest it. He termed SP’s opposition as mere show off.

UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also cornered SP. He said that the BJP government is working with commitment for the all-round development of the state. He said that today we will present the supplementary budget. Various work plans will be completed on time.
