A shooter who shot at Umesh Pal has been killed by the police in an encounter. The Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday killed a shooter of the Atiq Ahmed gang during an encounter in Prayagraj’s Kaundhiyara area in connection with the Umesh Pal murder case. According to media reports, the shooter, who was seriously injured during the encounter, succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, which has been identified as Vijay alias Usman. The statement of Shalbhamani Tripathi, a BJP MLA, has come to the fore on this matter. In which he said that we had said that we will raze the mafias to the ground. Usman, the killer who fired the first shot at Umesh Pal and Sandeep Nishad, also died in the encounter.
The shooter killed in this encounter was among the attackers who attacked Umesh Pal and his security guard on February 24 this year. After the encounter, he was taken to Swaroop Rani Nehru Medical Hospital, but he died on the way. The UP police had earlier announced a reward of Rs 50,000 on Usman. Later this amount was increased to Rs 2.5 lakh.
Gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed is the prime accused in the Raju Pal murder case and is currently lodged in a Gujarat jail. The UP Police had on Sunday announced a reward of Rs 2.5 lakh each for the arrest or information of five people involved in the murder of Umesh Pal.
In this case, a few days back also the UP Police had taken similar action. Shooter Arbaaz was gunned down by the UP Police in Dhumanganj, Prayagraj. A policeman was also injured during this encounter. Arbaaz was driving the Creta car involved in the incident at the time of Umesh Pal murder.
