The CRPF camp was attacked in the late night of December 31, 2007. The terrorists who carried out the incident had entered through gate number one of the CRPF Group Center on the Delhi-Lucknow road. There is also a railway crossing before this gate. The terrorists opened fire on the jawans near the gate. Along with this hand grenade was also used.

During this, the terrorists entered deep inside the CRPF camp. In this incident, 7 CRPF jawans were martyred and a civilian was also killed along with it. People were about to celebrate the new year, but after this incident the whole country was immersed in mourning.

8 terrorists were arrested in this attack

Police had arrested eight people in this terrorist attack. Whose names are Imran Shahzad, Muhammad Farooq of Punjab province of Pakistan, Sabauddin alias Sahabuddin of Bihar, Faheem Ansari of Gore village of Mumbai, Muhammad Kausar of Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh, Gulab Khan of Thana Bahedi of Bareilly district, village Milak of Moradabad. Jang Bahadur Baba of Kamru and Muhammad Sharif of Rampur. All of them were arrested and sent to jail.

They were lodged in the jails of Lucknow and Bareilly. After this accident, the court heard 38 witnesses and after that two of these accused were released by the court due to lack of evidence. At the same time, two people have been sentenced to 10-10 years.
