A painful news has come to light from Harpalpur in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. Here, two innocent people burnt to death due to fire in a hut. The fire raged so fast that even efforts to save both could not be started. The villagers controlled the fire with great difficulty. Police reached the spot after getting information about the accident. After inspecting the spot, the dead bodies have been sent for postmortem.
According to media reports, this incident is from Dasyoli village of Harpalpur. Here Tejram lives in a hut with his wife, two daughters and a son. The villagers told that Tejram does not have a farm. Tejram went to work with his wife on Friday morning. Both daughter and son were present in the house. The villagers told that Tejram’s elder daughter was making tea on the stove. His younger sister and brother were sleeping on the cot when a spark from the stove caught fire in the hut. The fire spread so fast that the eldest daughter ran outside screaming.
Villagers told that an attempt was made to save both the children, but the fire kept on flaring up rapidly. Somehow the fire was controlled, by then both the children had died due to scorching.
Weeds spread throughout the village
On getting information about the accident, Tejram reached the spot with his wife and was shocked to see the dead bodies of both his children. There is mourning in every house of the village. The villagers are sad that we too failed to save both the children. CO Satendra Singh, who reached the spot, told that the reason for the fire in the hut would be investigated. The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem. He told that all possible help will be given to the victim’s family.
