Retired IPS officer cheated of lakhs

Then the cyber thugs gave him information about the stock market. When he fell for their tricks and agreed to invest, he was added to a WhatsApp group. 100 people were already connected to the group. After this the accused gave him the task of rating and reviewing the online page. He benefited from this. The thugs gave him the task of investing in IPOs and shares of companies. He bought IPOs of many companies. Besides, also invested in the shares of companies mentioned by cyber fraudsters.

Police started searching for the accused

The money invested in the app mentioned by the accused was seen increasing. Because of this he invested Rs 30 lakh 62 thousand 980 thousand. When he wanted to withdraw his profit, the accused closed his trading account. During this time, when he started asking for it back, he was thrown out of the WhatsApp group. The police officer said that the matter is being investigated. The number with which the conversation was made is being traced. The accused will be arrested soon in this regard. The retired IPS officer has filed a case in Sector-36 cyber crime police station on Thursday.
