Pakistan Tour Of Ireland: Pakistan cricket team will tour Ireland before the T20 World Cup. 3 T20 series will be played between the two countries. This is the first tour of Ireland by the Pakistan team after 2018. Pakistan Cricket Board has released the schedule of this tour. Three T20s will be played between the two countries from 10 to 14 May. All three matches will be played at Cassell Avenue, Dublin.
In 2018, Ireland played its first Test against Pakistan. Then Pakistan had registered victory. This is the first T20 series between Pakistan and Ireland. Before this, the only T20 was played between the two teams in 2009. Earlier, a T20 series was to be played between the two countries in 2020. But, that series had to be postponed due to Corona virus.
Before the tour of Ireland, the Pakistan cricket team will host the New Zealand team for a five-match T20 series. This series will start from 18th April. After the tour of Ireland, Pakistan team will play 4 T20 series against England from May 22 to May 28.
Ahead of the T20 series against Pakistan, Ireland lost the ODI and T20 series against Afghanistan in the UAE earlier this month. However, Ireland achieved their first Test win against Afghanistan at the start of the tour.
