National President of Samajwadi Party (SP) and former CM Akhilesh Yadav (Akhilesh Yadav) reached Gorakhpur for the municipal election campaign. There he held a public meeting in support of Bhojpuri film actress Kajal Nishad and lashed out at the state government.

All the parties including BJP (BJP), Congress (Congress), SP (SP), BSP (BSP) have put their strength to register victory in the municipal elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh. In this connection, SP’s National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav reached Yogi’s stronghold Gorakhpur on Sunday. Here he addressed a public meeting in support of Bhojpuri film actress Kajal Nishad. During this, the SP President fiercely attacked the Yogi Adityanath government of the state. Raising the issue of electricity, drains, drainage, cleanliness and metro, he called the Yogi government a failure on every front.
Situation of power generation in the state is critical: Akhilesh
Akhilesh Yadav said that ever since the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state, electricity meters have started running fast in people’s homes. The condition of power generation in the state is poor. The state government has not been able to generate even a single unit of additional electricity till date. In the tenure of 6 years, this government has not been able to make arrangements for drainage and drainage till date. How can that party which could not do any development in 6 years expect to get votes.

The SP chief further said that Chief Minister Yogi had promised to run the Gorakhpur Metro. I ask where is the metro station. Alleging that the pace of development is slow, Akhilesh said – People of Gorakhpur! Tell me, Link Expressway was to be built here, whether it was built or not, if it had been built, I would have come among you by road, not by aeroplane. This municipal election is being held because whether the garbage is picked up or not. Are the drains clean or not? If all these works are not done, then why are taxes being taken from your homes. Rs are being charged for drains and sewers. Taking a jibe at the city’s traffic system, the SP chief said that there is no need of traffic police here, as the bulls are doing their job.
