Sabarmati Agra Superfast Train Derails: Several passengers were injured when four coaches and engine of a superfast train derailed near Madar railway station in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The incident is said to have happened late at 1 o’clock in the night. According to officials, there was a collision between Sabarmati-Agra superfast train and goods train near Madar railway station. The accident was so severe that four coaches including the engine of Sabarmati Express derailed.
Many passengers suffered injuries
This accident happened due to the arrival of both the trains on the same track. After receiving information about the accident, railway officials reached the spot. Soon the rescue teams also reached the spot. However, there is no news of any casualty in this incident. But it is being told that many passengers have suffered minor injuries. The injured have been taken to Ajmer station for treatment.

Passengers were sleeping, when there was a shock they fell from their seats.
Passengers told that the incident happened at around 1 o’clock in the night. The passengers said that they were sleeping when suddenly they heard a loud noise. Due to the shock, children, women and elderly people sleeping on the seats fell down. Rescue teams including Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP) along with Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) and senior officers are at the spot. Efforts are on to bring the derailed coaches and engines back on track.

The reasons for the accident are being investigated. The work of clearing the track is going on. ADRM Baldev Ram said that preliminary investigation has revealed that this accident happened due to the arrival of both the trains on the same track. The train reached far away from the track after derailing from the track. The poles for electric lines have also been damaged.
