Due to which the number of wild animals has decreased continuously. This is the reason that the tiger is continuously hunting cattle in the Kaliasot area, due to which there is panic among the common people as well. The tigress BT-123, which has been hunting for two days around the hillock behind Mother Bull Dairy Farm in Kaliasot, and for the safety of the common people, the forest department has banned her exit at night. Also, there is a strict ban on the entry of heavy vehicles after 6 pm, but due to less prey in the forest, the tigress may soon turn to another cattle to feed herself and her four cubs.

Due to this the hunting of cattle is happening

In the Samardha range of Bhopal General Forest Division, other cattle including Nilgai and Chital are almost extinct, due to which wild animals like tigers and leopards have to hunt cattle. About four to five cattle are hunted every month in the Samardha range. The forest department also pays compensation for the hunting of these cattle.

51 cattle were hunted from April 22 to March 23:

From April 2022 to March 2023, 51 cattle have been hunted in the Samardha range. On an average, 4 cattle have been killed every month. According to the figures of the forest department, the main diet of tigers in the Samardha range is up to 80 percent cattle and only 20 percent wild animals.

The Forest Department has started an initiative to stop the ever-increasing construction works in Kaliasot and Kerwa. Six months ago, the construction work of two clubs being built here was stopped. Action can also be started soon to close other clubs.
