Actually, Mother Narmada quenches the thirst of the throats of the state, but it is also a big vote bank. Because of this, political parties are engaged in worshiping Mother Narmada Maiya. CM Shivraj has been worshiping Narmada ji, so now Kamal Nath has started the Narmada Seva Yatra by forming Narmada Seva Sena. Congress will form an army of Congress workers on the banks of Narmada, who will work to stop illegal mining and pollution from Narmada ji.

Earlier on June 12, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi had worshiped Maa Narmada in Jabalpur and started the election campaign. Earlier in the year 2018, former CM Digvijay Singh had done a walking tour of Narmada. He had circumambulated about 3 thousand 300 km by traveling to Padal. Which remained in a lot of discussion. In the year 2016, CM Shivraj Singh also started the Narmada Seva Yatra. Which was concluded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Not only this, Rahul Gandhi has also worshiped Narmada. Rahul Gandhi had worshiped Narmada ji in Khargone during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Let us tell you that Narmada river gives water to about 4 crore people of the state. Apart from this, food grains and electricity are also produced from the Narmada river. Narmada river passes through about 16 districts of the state. And there are about 100 assembly seats in these districts. Out of which 65 seats are adjacent to Narmada river. In the 2018 elections, the Congress had won 36 of these seats.
