Bribe was demanded for the construction work of Amrit Sarovar
According to the information received, a few days ago the team of Lokayukta met the complainant Suresh Kumar Gupta who is a resident of Gram Panchayat Ghurwai Tehsil Maihar District Satna. He complained that the SDO posted in RES had demanded a bribe of Rs 20 thousand from him for carrying out the construction work of Amrit Sarovar. After which the Lokayukta investigated the matter and made a plan to arrest SDO Girish Kumar Mishra. After this, when the accused government servant reached the designated place to collect the money, the police arrested the accused. Lokayukta has registered a case against the officer under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
