After raids in Gwalior in the past, the CBI today arrested a railway official at Nilambari Guest House near Jabalpur Railway Station for accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000. This bribe was being given by an official of the construction company. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and arrested three people red-handed including the Deputy Chief Engineer of the Railways. Bribe was being taken in the name of giving NOC

Let us inform that a road is being constructed in Katni by NHAI. Its work is being done by Shreeji Infrastructure Private Limited Company. There was a problem in road construction due to a railway bridge. For this, the construction company needed a No Objection Certificate (NOC). A bribe of Rs 50 thousand was being taken by the officers for giving NOC. During this, the CBI team reached the spot and arrested the accused. These include SK Nigam, deputy chief engineer of railways, general manager level officer of construction company and assistant staff (technician) of deputy chief engineer.

The investigating agency raided several places in the capital

Along with this, an officer of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has also been detained for questioning in this matter. Tell that the investigating agency has seized documents by raiding his office and related other places in Jabalpur, Bhopal, Katni, Chhindwara and other places till late night. Also, other people are being questioned in this matter.
