Bhopal, The state will get its first Vande Bharat Express from Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag it off from Bhopal’s Rani Kamlapati station shortly. Vande Bharat Express will run between Bhopal to New Delhi. This will be the first high speed train connecting New Delhi to Madhya Pradesh. Railways has fixed the average speed of the train at 91 km per hour, which will be increased in the coming times. At present, this train will cover the distance from Rani Kamlapati station to New Delhi in 7.40 hours and New Delhi to Rani Kamlapati station in 7.50 hours. Presently Shatabdi Express covers the distance from Rani Kamlapati station to New Delhi in 8.35 hours and New Delhi to Rani Kamlapati station in 8.40 hours. The slight difference in travel time is due to the more curvy up track.

Will stop at Agra, Gwalior and Jhansi stations

According to the information received from the officials of West Central Railway, Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20171) will depart from Rani Kamlapati station at 5.40 am every day of the week except Saturdays and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 1.10 pm. This train will halt at Virangana Laxmi Bai station at 8.46 am, Gwalior at 9.48 am and Agra Cantt station at 11.23 am. Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20172) will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin station at 2.40 pm and reach Rani Kamlapati station at 10.10 pm. The said train will halt at Agra Cantt at 4.20 pm, Gwalior at 5.45 pm and Virangana Laxmi Bai station at 7.03 pm. While passing in both directions, this train will take traveling stoppage at Palwal station, passengers will neither be able to board nor disembark from this station.

Modi will show green flag at 3.15 pm

According to the information received from the officials of West Central Railway, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train at 3.15 pm on Saturday, the day of its inauguration. This train will leave for Bhopal at 3.27 pm, Vidisha at 4.06 pm, Ganjbasoda at 4.30 pm, Bina at 5.19 pm, Lalitpur at 5.55 pm, Babina at 6.28 pm, Virangana Laxmi Bai station at 7.01 pm, Datia at 7.20 pm, Gwalior at 8.03 pm, Morena at 8.56 pm, Dhaulpur , Agra Cantt at 9.27 am, Raja Ki Mandi at 9.35 am, Mathura Jn at 10.04 am, Hazrat Nizamuddin at 11.35 am and New Delhi at 11.50 pm.

Features of Vande Bharat Express

Passengers will be able to talk to the loco pilot and assistant loco pilot. For this, emergency talkback units have been installed inside each coach and at each main gate. However, this facility will be for emergency only. The train also has GPS based information system, vacuum based toilet, automatic sliding door, LED TV. The doors will be automatic. The doors will remain open when the train is standing on the platform. If they remain closed, the doors will automatically open when you stand in front of the gate. The doors will open automatically when the train stops at a station. The doors through which one has to pass to go from one coach to another inside the coach will also be automatic.

Fire extinguishers are kept in the toilet which can be used in case of fire.

A folding table has been provided in the coach, which passengers can use as per their convenience.

Berth numbers in Braille script have been mentioned on coaches by installing special handles for differently-abled passengers. So that Divyangjan can easily reach their berth.
