Bhopal – Various officers and employees posted in 26 departments, including Collector, SDM, CMO, Engineer, Hospital Superintendent, Tehsildar, Sarpanch, Secretary, Accountant, Teacher, who were posted in government departments of Madhya Pradesh, were caught red-handed by the Economic Offenses Investigation Bureau for financial irregularities and 44 Action has been taken against 105 officers and employees by registering cases, but their administrative departments are not giving sanction for prosecution against them for years.
Due to which further action is not being taken against them. All these are included in the major departments in which efforts are being made to protect senior officers by not giving sanction for prosecution against them. Prosecution approval is pending since 2017 in the case registered in 2011 against retired Katni collector Anju Singh Baghel, since 2020 against SDM ON Pandey, SDM AP Singh in Mauganj, Rewa under GAD. Two then Tehsildars of Budhni, KS Sen and MD Sharma, AK Badkur, against Accountant Ramcharan Singh from 2019, against the then Collector of Vidisha Yogendra Sharma from 2020, against the then Deputy Secretary of the Food Department Lalit Dahima from 2021, the then Sub-Divisional Officer Sanwer Pawan Jain and Kaushal Bansal from February 2023, Katni’s retired collector Anju Singh Baghel in another case pending from February 2021.
Urban Development and Housing
– Jayantilal, former mayor of Municipality Ratlam, property tax officer Manohar Lal Verma from 2020, Sehore’s Chief Municipal Officer DS Parihar, Sub-Divisional Officer Hanif Khan, Assistant Engineer Anil Shrotriya, Acting President Ashok Sisodia, Deputy Engineer Narendra Singh Chauhan, Accountant Haribhan Singh Permission is pending on Bundela, Clerk Shyam Singh Chandravanshi from 2021, Chief Executive Officer Ramshiromani, RC Sahu, Accountant Vishnudev, Assistant Grade Three Dhirendra Singh, Branch Incharge Ramgopal Mishra from 2021.
Revenue Department and Water Resources Department
Retired Sub-Divisional Officer Nandkishore Veerwal of Pohri Hall, the then Naib Tehsildar Jaikiran Singh Gurjar, retired Revenue Inspector Jagdish Prasad Srivastava from 2019, retired Tehsildar OP Pagare from 2020, Revenue Inspector Dinesh Jain from 2022 is pending. On the other hand, the then Assistant Engineer of Water Resources Department Kharjor Singh is pending since 2020, retired Sub-Divisional Officer Jabalpur Shikhar Chandra Jain, retired Chief Engineer Dindori, Madangopal Choubey since 2022.
Panchayat and Rural Development Department
On the other hand, in November 1999, the EOW took action against the then block officer of Patharia in Damoh district of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, YS Chauhan, and from January 2018, a proposal has been sent to the Additional Chief Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department for prosecution approval. Permission has not been granted till date. Similarly, APO MNREGA Panagar Prashant Sharma, Pankaj Mudia Deputy Engineer, Mehboob Khan CEO Panagar, Sudha Yadav Sarpanch Sonpur, Sarla Yadav Secretary Gram Panchayat Gadheri is seeking prosecution sanction from September 2022 from EOW department in the case registered in 2015. In the case registered in 2015 against Tilganwa’s sarpanch Krishna Yadav and Panagar’s APO Prashant Sharma, permission has been sought on January 2021. Permission was not received from September 2022 in the case registered in 2015 against APO Panagar Prashant Sharma, Deputy Engineer Pankaj Mudia, CEO Mebub Khan, Sarpanch Sonpur Begi Bai Thakur, Secretary Sonpur Mohd Salim. Permission is pending since 2019 in the case registered in 2017 against Anil Enwali, the then Deputy Engineer Rural Engineering Service of Umaria. In 2015, a case was registered against Naval Kishore Sharma, assistant teacher of Kotpar Ganesh Government High School, Bareilly, Umrao Singh Dhakad, physical education teacher of Tulsipar Silvani’s Umavi and Seema Dhakad, a school teacher in Mehragaon. Permission has been sought since June 2018.
Medical Education and Public Works Department
– Case against former Superintendent of Sultania Hospital Neeraj Bedi, Dr. Sandhya Nagar, Dr. Veena Nagle, Dr. Saurabh Jain is pending since 2020. On the other hand, former executive engineer of Public Works Department Dindori PD Verma, former SDO Tirath Prasad Namdev, store clerk Shabbir Khan are pending since 2022, Sehore’s executive engineer SK Kulkarni from 2021.
Not allowed even in these departments
Apart from this, Tribal Welfare, Cooperative, Tribal Development, Collector Ujjain, Mandla, District Education Officer Khargone, Commissioner Public Instruction, Divisional Commissioner Shahdol, CEO Mandla, Chief Engineer PHE Indore, Commissioner Goods and Services Tax Jabalpur, Mandi Board, Seed Certification Sanstha, NFS Factory West Bengal, ICICI Bank Indore, Public Education Rewa, permission is also not being sought from here.
