MP School Uniform Scam:Before the assembly elections to be held in Madhya Pradesh, a big scam has come to light. The matter of providing poor quality uniforms to the children in the schools of the state has come to the fore. Regarding the matter, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bais has ordered an inquiry into the matter.
Let us tell you that the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had ordered the school children of the state to buy cloth for dress and get it stitched from women’s groups. The government had fixed an amount of Rs 220 for a dress. 70 rupees were fixed for stitching the same clothes. Overall, the government was spending Rs 290 on one UPform. The government had ordered the officials to purchase cloth from the weavers union and get it stitched and distributed among the children in 130 days.

After the order of the government, complaints about distribution of substandard quality dress started coming. It was told in the complaints that instead of getting the dress stitched, the officials bought the dress from the market and gave it to the children. The cost of a dress fixed by the government was less than Rs 100, the dress was bought from the market. After receiving complaints, the government became strict and the State Education Center Commissioner immediately called a meeting regarding the matter.

Regarding the matter, State Education Center Commissioner Dhanraju S has said that the matter is being investigated. Our job was to give the amount on time. The task of buying and getting the dress cloth stitched was not ours but that of the National Livelihood Mission. We were given 130 days to get the dress stitched, but the work was done in 120 days.
