Indore; Voting is to be held in Madhya Pradesh on 17th November. In such a situation, the Election Commission has issued necessary guidelines to the district administration officials regarding preparation. In this context, November 17 has been declared a holiday in the state. So, orders have been issued to close all the liquor shops in the state a day before the elections and on the day of the elections. So that there is no problem of any kind in the elections. In this regard, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Ilaiah Raja T has issued orders.

Liquor shops will remain closed for the whole day on 3rd December also

Under the order issued, 176 liquor shops will remain closed in the entire state including the capital from 16 to 17 November. During this period, sale of liquor will also be banned. Apart from this, liquor shops will remain closed in the entire district on 3rd December, the day of counting of votes. Along with this, selling or serving liquor to anyone in liquor shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs and other selling points, serving points etc. will be completely prohibited during dry days. Liquor will not be served even in hotels and bars. The District Election Department has issued instructions to close all the composite liquor shops in Indore district. Under the order issued, if anyone is found violating the rules, then strictest action will be taken against him.
