Indian Railway: 26 km track of third line from Budni to Barkheda completed, CRS will do speed trial today

Bhopal. The work of West Central Railway’s ambitious plan Third Rail Line from Itarsi to Bhopal has been completed. CRS will conduct speed trials on Friday on various sections of the 26 km hilly area between Budni and Barkheda.

On this occasion, Railway officials and CRS will take detailed information about train running and other technical matters on this section. If everything goes well then permission may be given to run the train on this section. However, currently goods trains can be run on this section on the third railway line for about a month. It is noteworthy that 5 tunnels have been built on the third railway line. In this, 4 other tunnels including the largest one km tunnel of the state have been ready. Now the work of all five tunnels, tracks and electrification has been completed.

The company doing the construction work has already conducted the first successful trial of the engine between Bhopal and Budni. RVNL Chief Project Manager Raghavendra Saraswat said that some work is going on. Train traffic is expected to start after inspection by the Railway Safety Commissioner.

Which will reach Delhi via stations like Bina, Gwalior etc.
