If someone asks for money to fill the form of Ladli Bahna, I will get handcuffed: Chief Minister Chouhan

CM inaugurated development works worth crores at Ladli Bahna Mahasammelan in Niwali Nagar of Barwani

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that I consider my life blessed that I could do something for my sisters. Ladli Behna Yojana is being successful, my becoming Chief Minister has also been successful. All kinds of arrangements have been made for the application of this scheme, no sister needs to worry, if someone asks for money to fill the form of the scheme, I will get her handcuffed. He said that we are taking the water of Narmada to the fields of the farmers, while the Congress, being in power for so many years, did not take any step in this direction. When the CM took information from the Collector about the application of the Ladli Bahna Yojana from the stage, he asked the Superintendent of Police whether the liquor vends were closed or not. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that an amount of two crore rupees each would be allocated to all the Nagar Panchayats for development works.

The Chief Minister was addressing the Ladli Bahna Mahasammelan organized in Barwani district Niwali on Thursday and the Bhumi Pujan and inauguration program of development works costing Rs 371 crore. He said that in his childhood, he had seen atrocities on sisters in the village. When a daughter was born, the family members used to lose their faces, as if a disaster had arisen. Everyone would have been happy if there was a son, but as long as the daughter is alive, she will support the parents till their last breath. I have also seen sisters eating sticks. There was a time when there were many districts of the state where the daughter was killed as soon as the news of her pregnancy was received. In many places, the mother did not even see the face of the daughter when she was born. CM said if you will not save daughter, then from where will you bring daughter-in-law. The CM told that once during the meeting, a woman said that Shivraj is talking about a lot of daughters, if there is a daughter, then from where will she get the dowry for marriage. That’s why I made Ladli Laxmi Yojana for daughters. Today there are 44 lakh 50 thousand Ladli Lakshmi in the state. Now work is being done to empower the sisters, that is why I have come up with the Ladli Bahna Yojana. He told the sisters that I am also your brother, something should be given on Rakhi, but giving something once a year does not work, so thought to give 1 thousand every month. CM Shivraj said that if this scheme is successful then my becoming Chief Minister is successful. He said that there should not be any hindrance in filling the application for the scheme, because the process is very simple and easy. We have also made complete arrangements for this. If there is a problem in filling the form due to non-availability of network in any village, the sisters will be taken to another village, for which they will not have to spend anything. The CM said that this scheme is a plan to change the lives of the sisters, it will empower the sisters. He said that it is my wish that every village should have a dear sister army, it will soon take shape. Now one thousand rupees will come in the account of our sisters every month. If there are three daughters-in-law in a house, then one thousand rupees will come in the accounts of all three. This one thousand rupees will also strengthen the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. If there is money in the daughter-in-law’s account, the mother-in-law will say, pour some ghee and if the pension comes in the mother-in-law’s account, the daughter-in-law will say, ‘Let me press my feet’.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the country where sisters will stand on half the seats. Today women are representing on the stage. Government is running. We also made 50 percent recruitment of daughters in the job of teachers. It has also been decided to recruit 30 percent in the police. When the Congress government came to power in the state, that destructive government stopped many schemes. We were giving one thousand rupees per month to the sisters of Baiga, Bahariya, that too was stopped. But now once again work is being done for the upliftment of the sisters. He said that today the sisters associated with the livelihood mission in the state are doing very good work, the government is helping them in getting loans and interest money is also being paid.

CM sings, sisters mix vocals

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan started his address with the song ‘Phool ka taron ka sabka kehna hai, ek thousand me meri behna hai’. He also asked the sisters to join their voices. The sisters joined hands with the CM while clapping. After which the sisters tied a 211 feet long rakhi to the CM brother.

CM did Bhoomi Pujan of construction works worth 371 crores

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed Bhumi Pujan of construction works worth Rs 371 crore and inaugurated construction works worth Rs 149 crore. On this occasion, he said that Narmada water will be brought to Pansemal, Niwali. Its survey will start soon. An amount of 2-2 crore will be given to all the municipalities for development. The CM said that the amount for the construction of the road on the ghat leading up to the Nagalwadi temple has been approved. During the programme, the Chief Minister visited the exhibition put up by various departments. At the same time interacted with the members of Janseva Mitra, PESA Mobilizer and Jan Abhiyan Parishad.

All liquor shops closed

CM Shivraj told the SP from the stage – all the doors of liquor shops have been closed. He called the SP on the stage and asked whether all the premises should be closed or not. The SP said- Yes sir, all the premises have been closed, said on this, come on the mike and say once. CM said that it is a question of honor of sisters.
