Devuthani Gyaras:Datia. Devuthani Ekadashi is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Pacha of Kartik month. It is believed that on this day Lord Vishnu, the sustainer of the world, awakens from yoga nidra. On this auspicious occasion, special worship of Lord Vishnu is done in all three worlds.
In Hindu religion, auspicious work starts from Devuthani Ekadashi date. It is implied in the scriptures that Lord Vishnu goes to sleep in Ksheer Sagar on Devshayani Ekadashi Tithi and Dev awakens on Uthani Ekadashi Tithi.
Recognition of Sanatan Dharma
There is also a religious belief that doing special worship of Lord Vishnu on this day brings happiness, prosperity and auspiciousness in life. On Dev Uthani Ekadashi, devotees worship Lord Vishnu with devotion. Reed or sugarcane has special importance in the worship of Lord Vishnu.
On the date of Devuthani Ekadashi, a reed pavilion is made and Lord Vishnu and Mother Tulsi are installed in it. This festival is also called the festival of Tulsi Vivah. Hundreds of farmers have reached the city with sugarcane and their sugarcane is being sold in full swing. Due to the good sale of sugarcane, happiness is visible on the faces of the farmers. People of Sanatan Dharma performed special worship of their beloved deity in temples across the country on Thursday. Let us tell you that there is a tradition of celebrating this day as Diwali festival. People of Sanatan Dharma also fill their entire house with the light of lamps on this day. This festival is celebrated by preparing special dishes.
