Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed displeasure over the poor implementation of the schemes in the meeting of bankers. He said that under the Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, there is a provision to provide a maximum amount of Rs 50 lakh to the applicant. Even after this, the beneficiaries are not able to get its benefit. He said that no stone should be left unturned in achieving the goals set in the plan. For this, there should be continuous monitoring at the district and state level. Chief Minister Chouhan was presiding over the 185th meeting of the State Level Bankers’ Committee at Chief Minister’s residence office Samatva Bhavan on Friday. The bankers said that in the implementation of the Chief Minister’s Ladli Bahna Yojana for the welfare of sisters, they will not allow any difficulty in the process related to the bank and the sisters will get full cooperation. The bankers congratulated the Chief Minister for presenting a balanced and public-welfare focused budget in the state. Additional Chief Secretaries of various departments, Principal Secretaries, senior officers of State Bank of India, Central Bank of India, Bank of India and other banks were present in the meeting. He said that active role of banks is necessary for better results in agriculture, food processing and primary sector. Beneficiaries should be encouraged by banks, so that investment can be increased.

Banks became partners in the empowerment of women-

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the purpose of loan schemes related to women’s welfare is women’s empowerment. These schemes lead to economic as well as social empowerment of women. Banks should become partners in this work. At present the percentage of achievement in the National Rural Livelihood Mission is 65. Every bank should try to make it 100% by the end of this month. The activities of Aajeevika Mission are no less than a Brahmastra. An amount of Rs 3 thousand 263 crore has been sanctioned to the members of the Livelihood Mission in about 80 thousand cases in the state.

MP is ahead in approval of housing, MSME and education loans

Bankers told that in the financial year till December 2022, the percentage of business growth of banks in Madhya Pradesh is better in terms of housing, MSME and education loans as compared to the country. Necessary process is underway to open 54 new bank branches in the state. Till the end of February, 27 new branches have been started. The Chief Minister said that the percentage of achievement should also increase in Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, welfare of street vendors and Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme. For other schemes as well, efforts should be made to get good achievements by fulfilling 100 percent target by accepting pending cases in bank branches. There should be no dearth of efforts at the level of banks in this last month of the financial year. Maximum number of beneficiaries should be benefitted.

Reviewed the Street Vendors Welfare Scheme-

Chief Minister Chouhan also reviewed the progress of PM Self Fund and Chief Minister Rural Street Vendor Scheme. He was told that at present the progress in PM SVANidhi (Second Tranche) is 57.55 per cent. Bank of India topped the list with 226 per cent achievement. One lakh 16 thousand 36 cases have been approved in the state. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh has been first in the implementation of this scheme in the whole country. In the second tranche of the scheme, double the amount i.e. Rs 20 thousand is given to the beneficiary. This is important from the point of view of economic upliftment and encouragement of the applicants who return the loan amount. Efforts should be made that Madhya Pradesh remains first in the country in the second tranche as well. For this, every bank will have to make efforts to meet the target. Similarly, more than 3 lakh 50 thousand cases have been approved under the Chief Minister’s Rural Street Vendor Scheme. State Bank of India is on top in sanctioning of cases. It was also informed in the meeting that work is being done to benefit the beneficiaries for fisheries under the AHDF campaign. The achievement in this financial year is 55 per cent. Central Bank of India is at the first position by approving 66 percent cases. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is a leader in the fisheries sector. The work of approving 100 percent cases in this area should be done this month.

Banks will cooperate fully in the implementation of Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Yojana

It was told on behalf of the bankers that they will fully cooperate in the implementation of the ambitious Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana being launched by Chief Minister Chouhan for the welfare of poor sisters. Women will not be allowed to face any problem in the work of payment of amount at the level of banks. The work of linking account with Aadhaar in the scheme is nearing completion. About one crore accounts have been linked. For the remaining accounts, work is being done by running a campaign.

Provision of Rs 50 lakh in Udyam Kranti Yojana-

Chief Minister Chouhan said that in the meeting, the Chief Minister talked about agricultural loans, starting new branches of banks, self-employment schemes such as Bhagwan Birsa Munda Self-Employment Scheme, Sant Ravidas Self-Employment Scheme, Tantya Mama Economic Welfare Scheme, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program, Instructed to give timely loans and financial assistance to the beneficiaries of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Economic Welfare Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and other schemes. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains said that at the state level, there has been continuous review of the work of sanctioning cases of various schemes by the banks. There is a need to complete the redressal of pending cases by holding meetings of District Level Bankers Committee every week.
