Delhi: Man stabbed to death for protesting molestation of wife, eight including seven minors arrested

New Delhi: In Siraspur of Samaypur Badli police station area, a 26-year-old youth named Bablu was killed for protesting misbehavior with his wife. Within a few hours, the police arrested eight, including seven minor boys, on charges of murder. The name of the eighth accused has been mentioned as Raju.

Bablu lived with his family in a rented room in Siraspur. He used to do the work of dyeing and painting. Apart from his wife, there are two sons of four and two years in the family. Bablu was originally from Madhya Pradesh. His elder brother Anil’s brother-in-law Shriram also lives in a room of this house. On Friday night at around 7:30, Bablu reached Shriram’s room and informed about Raju’s activities. Raju also lived with them in a separate room. After this everyone went to Raju’s room and tried to pacify him.

It is alleged that Raju started a fight with them. He went after some time threatening to see and came back after about a quarter of an hour with seven or eight boys. Two of the boys stood down, while five barged into Bablu’s room. A minor stabbed Bablu on the chest with a knife. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased’s brother Anil told that Bablu had come to Delhi with the family ten days back. It had only been eight days since he was working. DCP Outer North Ravi Kumar Singh told that eight people were identified after CCTV footage. Everyone has been caught. The age of the youth who attacked has been found to be 17 and a half years. Police will appeal to JJB that all minors should be treated as adults.
