If they want to contest the election, they have to resign from the post of Speaker before staking claim. This decision was taken in a meeting of senior BJP leaders. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, State President VD Sharma, National Co-Organization Minister Shiv Prakash, State In-charge Murlidhar Rao and State Organization General Secretary Hitannad Sharma etc. were present in the meeting.
