Bhopal rto: Those who teach driving against the rules will have their license canceled

Bhopal. The driving schools operating in the capital are continuously being run in violation. School operators are teaching driving on the roads only, due to which accidents are happening continuously. It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday, due to negligence while teaching car driving near Mata Mandir, a student was hit by a car, due to which the student died. Regarding this matter, Transport Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Jha has ordered all the RTOs of the state including Bhopal to investigate the driving schools running in the city. According to the information, a hefty amount is being collected by the school operator in the name of teaching driving, but the guidelines set by the department are not being followed.

Traffic rules are not given

The provisions of Central Motor Vehicle Act 1989 Rule 24 to 31 A are not being followed. According to departmental sources, the trainers sit on the driver’s seat and make him drive on the road, which is risky, but the person learning to drive is not informed about the traffic rules.

Only 30 driving schools took permission in RTO

According to RTO sources only 30 driving schools have taken permission. The rest are illegal. These driving schools neither have trained trainers nor simulator machines for practicals. The big problem is that people are trained on the busiest road, due to which there is a possibility of accident. In a 21-day course, from theory to practical, a fee of Rs 5 to 8 thousand is charged.

it must be

There should be books and literature charts etc related to traffic rules.

There should be arrangement of audio-video system for conducting theory classes.

Simulator machine and its setup for practical classes.

It is mandatory for the instructor to have a driving license of heavy category.

Training should be given only on the ground for a week, after which the vehicle should be taken on the road.

There should be proper parking arrangement in the driving school.

The vehicles from which training is being imparted should have insurance and fitness.

There will be physical verification of passenger vehicles appearing on the screen

There will be physical verification of the passenger vehicles displayed on the screen in the State Control and Command Center set up in the RTO. Flying squads of RTOs across the state including Bhopal will check those 22,000 buses which are visible live at the centre. It will be started from next month. During this, the flying squad will check whether the vehicles in which fitness has been taken by installing vehicle location device and panic button are working or not. Transport Commissioner SK Jha says that physical verification of the GPS for location and the panic button for emergency position will be done. For this the flying squads of all RTOs are being banned. By the end of this year, about 23 thousand passenger vehicles are getting fitness due before the year-2019. Out of these, about 22,000 vehicles have been fitted with location devices and panic buttons along with fitness. Along with this, their location is also visible in the State Command and Control Room.
